High Shear Granulation Definition High shear and wet granulation are commonly used for densification, to improve flowability, content uniformity or wettability or to improve dispensing qualities. Commonly used high granulation equipment includes; high shear granulators, fluid bed granulators, spray dry granulators, double cone and ribbon blenders, rotary processors, rotating disk processors and V-blenders. In the pharmaceutical industry high shear granulation equipment is increasingly being used with Real Time Release Testing or Process Analytical Testing capability.
